Can't understand the business model of a crypto investment company. Could anyone help?

Up until now, I only mined cryptocurrency (ETH) and never bothered with making investments. But then, I stumbled across a website where they offer to invest in cryptocurrency and get as much as 15.5% on the invested amount. Not sure whether I should gamble with my hard-mined money, I want an expert opinion on the model they say they use. The website in question is https://haruinvest.com. It says that they don't lend the cryptocurrency you deposited with them to businesses but rather 'turn market volatility into profit' and 'invest deposits with minimized risk.' They mention these market strategies: Arbitrage Trading, Market Neutral Strategy, and Spread Trading. The problem is, a great deal of what I know about stock exchanges and the derivatives market comes from Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street.' It's a bull market when prices go high and a bear market when prices go down. And you can profit by taking out a loan nominated in some currency, selling this currency, buying it back at a lower price after some time, and repaying the loan. As for the above-mentioned market strategies, all these names are just words to me. The only thing I know for sure is that stock exchanges work on a so-called 'zero-sum gain' principle: your profit means someone else's loss, and their sum is always zero. So now I wonder whether these 'minimized risk' investments are really reliable, or people who take your money just gamble on being able to predict cryptocurrency exchange rates. What's more, I wonder whether profits from such investments are payable in ETH, BTC, etc., or they use physical currencies like USD or EUR. BTC payments are much more difficult to trace, while all your revenues in USD (excluding good old cash) are traceable there is simply no way of forgetting to declare them in your tax form. It's not that I'm in a big hurry to make investments or something. I'm perfectly happy with mining as it is. Still, if there is one more way of earning some money without having to work too hard, I would like to know about it. Thanks in advance for your advice, guys. submitted by /u/Divinelykeep [link] [comments]
